The History and Tradition of the Glasgow Rangers

One of the most popular soccer teams in Scotland is the Glasgow Rangers. The Rangers are a team deep in history and tradition. In 1872, the Glasgow Rangers were formed by two brothers, Peter and Moses McNeil, and their friends William McBeath and Peter McNeail. They chose the name for their soccer club by combing through a book on English rugby and borrowing from an existing team's name. The team saw limited action in their inaugural year with only a handful of friendly matches including a draw against Callander F.C. and an 11 to nil drubbing of Clyde.

Fast forward to more modern times and the Glasgow Rangers popularity has exploded. In 2006, Paul Le Geun took managerial control over the Rangers and went on a spree of signings for the team along with transactions that cleaned up some of the fat on the team. They struggled early on and, after a handful of defeats to lower level clubs, were removed from the League Cup. The Rangers cross-town rivals, the Glasgow Celtics, were dominate during this period which caused much agony for diehard Rangers fans.

Walter Smith was brought on in 2007 to replace Paul Le Guen. Smith brought on former Rangers player All McCoist to be his assistant manager.

The Glasgow Rangers have three primary colors: red, royal blue and white. Their home shirts are royal blue with white and red trim and the players wear white shorts with black socks. They occasionally will reverse parts of their uniform. For example, you can sometimes see the Glasgow Rangers playing in white socks and shorts that are royal blue in color.

The Rangers remain one of the most popular soccer clubs in all of Scotland, playing at any level, even though they split local attention and interest with the Glasgow Celtics. Thanks to the long history the Rangers have there are no signs of their popularity slowing down anytime soon.

UEFA Euro 2008 Tournament Winner Prediction (Gambling Tips & Prices)

It is time once again for a summer of football. 16 teams will contest a month of action packed football matches. The competition promises passionate victories, superb goals and upsets galore. In 2004 bookmakers would have taken a massive sting when Greece were crowned champions of Europe. With Europe's finest on show throughout who would have predicted that? With so many selections to choose from and important factors to take into consideration picking an outright tournament winner is not an easy task. Below is a detailed breakdown of the main tournament contenders and crucial information needed to help you make your pick.

The Champions of Euro 2008

This year there are 5 possible tournament winners.

France - Priced @ 9.6

The World Cup 2006 finalists will want to go one step further in this competition and avenge their World Cup final defeat to Italy. France is the highest priced pick for a number of reasons. Their pre tournament friendly's have been under par and lacked the passion. They are in the toughest of the 3 groups contesting against the likes of Italy and the Netherlands. France do have a wealth of players at their disposal including in form Frank Ribery. France will be looking for a performance from Thierry Henry if they are to progress to the knock out phase and this season at Barcelona has been nothing to go by. Patrick Vieira is out for the Romania game and will have to decide whether or not he plans to continue for the rest of the tournament. Expect a price crash if France can get through the group stages. Bet with a view to a trade.

Germany - Priced @ 5.0

Germany we feel undeservedly begin the competition as tournament favourites. We believe that they are strong contenders but should not be the favourites. Germany's side of youngsters looked exceptional at the World Cup with super pace, constantly picking off sides on the counter. Coach Joachim Löw has experimented with squads during the recent friendly's but it is believed that there will be few changes made to the side that featured in World Cup 2006. Bastian Schweinsteiger, Miroslav Klose and Lukas Podolski all feature. The German side looked like tournament winners in 06 but without home advantage on their side they will not be victorious in this competition.
Player to watch Michael Ballack.

Italy - Priced @ 7.8

The World Cup 2006 Champions are a good price @ 7.8. They have sustained a major blow however with the withdrawal of captain Fabio Cannavaro who damaged an ankle ligament during a training session. Roberto Donadoni has made a number of changes to the 2006 side. With the retirement of Alessandro Nesta and Francesco Totti many Italian players will be looking for their chance to shine. They are in the most difficult group locking horns with both France and the Netherlands. Italy are a good bet but it is doubtful they will hold both the World Cup and Euro titles at the same time.

Portugal - Priced @ 8.8

Portugal are the pick of the bunch at a great price of 8.8! The Portuguese were priced at 27/1 at the World Cup and were semi finalists. A hero's welcome was given to big Scolari's side as they landed in Switzerland. You would have thought that they had already won it! Portugal feature a star studded line up including this year's soon to be crowned 'FIFA World Player of the Year' (it will be a fix if not). We are of course talking about Christiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo is a completely different player to 2006 and after being this season's top scorer for Manchester United he will be looking to double up with the Golden Boot. A number of young players will be on show in this tournament all playing their hearts out for Scolari's vote. Nani being amongst them. With the Players, the Price and the mass support from the locals Portugal are a bargain at 8.8.

Spain - Priced @ 6.8

Spain are up there amongst the favourites mainly because of the stars amongst the side. Cesc Fabregas, David Villa, Fernando Torres, Carlos Puyol, Xabi Alonso, Xavi Hernandez to name a few. The downside to Spain is that they are bottlers and tend to choke in the latter stages of competitions. In their opening World Cup games they were on fire and it was goals galore during the group phase. As soon as they faced quality opposition they didn't look half as good submitting to France. Spain a good price @ 6.8 but definitely look to trade in the knock out rounds.

Euro 2008 Quarter Finals - Surprises Or Disappointments

Since day one the 2008 European Championship has been filled with surprises as we have witnessed how many of the favorite teams to be part of the second round have been left out or are still struggling to keep alive. A clear example is the Azzuri or the Italian team which was one of the strongest groups to take to Cup home but the real story was different. Since their first match against the Netherlands; the Italians had a tough time and they ended losing 3 to 0; a much unexpected first match that we could hardly believe. Then Italy played its second rival Romania last June 13th where we saw a more aggressive team but unfortunately for the Azzuri their first goal was eliminated and the game finished in a draw.

On the other hand; we have Le Blue squad or the French which was another disappointment as they also drew and lost to the group leader - The Netherlands - with a final score of 4 to 1. Now; the French and the Italians will be facing each other for the second spot which will secure a place in the quarter finals. As for Romania; the team has drew in their two previous games and they have not really shown much to deserve to go forward in the tournament; however they have accumulated a total of 2 points with two goals against so it is very possible that either the French or the Italians will take the second spot.

As far as Group D is concerned; the Greek team was expected to take at least the second spot but they did not managed to win any of the games played so far. On the contrary; Spain is the current team leader and it has accumulated a total of 6 points by winning against Russia and Sweden. Both Russia and Sweden have the same amount of points and will play each other in the first round final game; therefore; if Sweden wins they will classify for the second spot to move into the quarter finals...a very similar situation for the Russian if they are the winners instead.

Additionally, we have Group A which is currently led by Portugal and Turkey with a total of 6 points each; the other two teams the Czech Republic and Switzerland which were expected to show a bit more of potential and football spirit have fallen behind and have been already left out of the next round.

Finally; we have Group B where Croatia has become the absolute leader; certainly a very nice surprise as the team won all three games against Austria, Germany and Poland. Croatia now moves into the quarter finals with the German team as their captain Michael Ballack was able to push his team through by scoring his first goal of the tournament against Austria winning the game 1 - 0 for a total amount of 6 points in the scoreboard.

Hopefully; this year Euro Champion will be also a surprise as the teams will continue to show their utmost potential in the weeks to come.

Hassle Free Booking Options of Euro 2008 Tickets

Euro cup is coming closer and every soccer freak is eagerly waiting for the big event. Watching your favorite player and cheering for the team is like a dream come true to every soccer lover. However, limited tickets are available for the big matches and they just disappear within a few hours. Collecting the sports tickets is not that easy. It is a bit painstaking, time consuming and uncertain as well. You have to stand in a long queue for hours and then when your turn comes you see that all tickets are sold out. Why take this chance, when you have a better option to opt for? There are some good ways of booking Euro 2008 tickets available that will give you the hassle free certainty of being a part of your favorite game live.

There are many agencies available who will provide you the tickets. You will not have to work hard for that. Just order the tickets and mention the particular match and they will send you the tickets. Online facilities are also available. You just have to visit the website of your chosen company. See their ad and meet up the criteria. You will get your ticket within a few days. The same facilities can be opted for 2008 Olympics tickets also.

If you stay overseas, then also getting Euro 2008 tickets is not a big deal. There are companies who will send you the tickets. Free shipping options are readily available.

The best thing about such companies is they not only save your time or curtail down your hassle, they also save some of your money. These tickets are cheap and it is useful to book it from them because if you had to buy it from the field then you not only had to pay the ticket price but also the associated expenses. For instance, if you take your car then you had to pay a lump sum amount for the parking lot and for food because it is a time-consuming exercise. As these agencies do not demand your presence and as they have an online provision, you won't have to struggle to acquire your pass.

However, you must be careful before booking Euro 2008 tickets. There are lots of fraud companies which can cheat the unaware buyer. Always do a wide research before landing up into the deal. It will be better if you opt for a reputed company. At least they have a good will to maintain and for that reason their services will be reliable.

Euro 2008 - Germany Certain and Put

The German team seems to be very confident for the Euro 2008 despite they haven’t won any European Championship since 1996. Since the 2006 World Cup the team is still very optimistic due to all the euphoria and excitement received. Up to this point the Germans have defeated the two Euro co-host Austria and Switzerland and expect to continue their winning streak.

The Captain Michael Ballack believe they can achieve everything they dream about as the team finished third in the World Cup and they have won 15 of the 20 games played (only losing two games) under the lead of Coach Joachim Lowe.

For the World Cup Germany was not forced to qualify as the nation was hosting the tournament; but after the event the Germans’ campaign has been very successful and the team was the first to secure a place in the Euro 2008 which will take place from June 9th to the 27th. The only big downfall was the loss against the Czech Republic of 3-0. On the other hand, Lowe’s has had a difficult time adjusting as he was the assistant coach and now he is the man leading the National team. Nevertheless; he’s done an extraordinary job; he was one of the main choices when Juergen Klinsmann withdrew from his position as head coach due to misunderstandings with a small part of the players.

The German team does not possess a super star; the only key player we might say is Michael Ballack due to his background but he does not feel comfortable in this position Right now he is under a lot of pressure as he also plays with the English team Chelsea and they are heading to the final of the Champions League besides their hunt for the Premier League title in the .

Although; Ballack was absent for most of the year in the national team’s schedule due to an ankle injury, Germany still qualified easily showing this is more than a one-man show. Lowe rarely had his full team complete as he often missed half a dozen players before matches. The German team’s weakness is the defense as it is usually very messed up and they leave a lot of open spots, not a good thing for counterparts as a player like Luca Toni will find his way through.

The midfield is pretty strong and currently even more as Michel Ballack is back in shape but there are many good players out due to injuries; for example: Torsten Frings who has had to deal with many injuries this season and Bernd Schneider the team’s more creative player who just step out of surgery.

The attack is Germany's biggest asset; Podolski played well with Miroslav Klose at the World Cup and Klose was the tournament's top scorer. Klose who was overshadowed by Toni at the Bayern Munich will enjoy being the top man once more.

It will definitely be up to the strikers to manage more goals; indeed Germany has a solid team but their skills will be put to the test as they will face teams like Italy that is currently at the top of its game.

The Euro 2008 Football Championships: Austria And Switzerland [Vienna]

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has been organizing European Football Championship continuously since 1960. The UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as European Football Championship or Euro Cup, is men’s football competition held after every four years. It is counted the second chief game among nations beside the FIFA World Cup

The first UEFA European Football Championship or Euro 1960 was hosted by France, and the Euro 2004 was hosted by Portugal. The next championship is scheduled for 2008. The ‘Euro 2008,’ officially referred to as 2008 UEFA European Football Championship, will be co-hosed by Austria and Switzerland. The championship will be played from 7 June to 29 June 2008.

Total 16 teams will take part in the competition. Austria and Switzerland will automatically be eligible as hosts. This is the first time when Austria will be making its first appearance in the competition. The rest 14 teams will be decided through qualifying matches started in August 2006.

The Euro 2008 matches will be played at several cities of the hosting countries. The Euro 2008 matches will be played at the cities of Innsbruck (Tivoli-Neu Stadion), Klagenfurt (Wörthersee Stadion), Salzburg (Wals Siezenheim Stadium), Vienna (Ernst Happel Stadion) in Austria, and at the cities of Basel (St. Jakob-Park), Berne (Stade de Suisse Wankdorf), Geneva (Stade de Genève), and Zürich (Letzigrund Stadion) in Switzerland.

The St. Jakob-Park in Basel will host the opening match of the championship, two group stage matches, two Quarter-Finals and one Semi-Final. BSC Young Boys' Stade de Suisse in Wankdorf, Bern will host three group stage matches, the same as Servette FC's Geneva Stadium and FC Zürich's Letzigrund Stadion.

The Tivoli-Neu Stadion in Innsbruck will host three group stage matches, the same as FC Karnten’s Worthersee Stadion and Salzburg’s Wals Sievenheim Stadion, while three group stage matches, two quarter-finals and one semi-final will be hosted at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadion.

The first semifinal will be played on 25 June in Basel (St. Jakob-Park) in Switzerland. The second semifinal will be played on 25 June 2008 in Vienna (Ernst Happel Stadion) in Austria. The final will be played at Ernst Happel Stadion, Vienna, Austria on 29 June 2008.

The teams who desire to be a part of the UEFA European Football Championship tournament will be going through a group-type exclusion phase. The teams will be parted into seven different groups – six groups will have seven opposing teams whereas one group will have eight competitors.

After playing in their elected clusters, all the groups will be given ranks as per to the points gained in the qualifying phase. The top-level teams form the qualifying stage in addition to the host country’s team will become the 16 teams to play in the tournament proper. The 16 teams will be parted into four different groups, and the top two teams of every group will act in the knock-out style quarter finals. The four remaining teams play in the knock-out style semi-finals and, finally, the two prevailing teams will battle it out for the championship.

The official logo for EURO 2008 was designed by the British firm, English & Pockett, and was launched in Vienna on June 7, 2005. The logo evokes Switzerland and Austria’s mountain scenery and also bears the red and white colors common to both countries’ national flags.

How To Watch Euro 2008 Live Online Anywhere In The World

In less than 2 month's time, Uefa Euro 2008 will officially kicked off in Austria and Switzerland from 7th to 29 June 2008. As a soccer die-hard fan, this is an important month for me and I will want to watch as many soccer matches as possible. Although I have subscribed to a cable channel, I still need to work at my office which I hate during this period but what can I do? Although I have thought of taking a 3 weeks leave, but my boss does not approve it.

I have tried to search for ways to watch soccer matches on internet but most sources point to youtube which is not Live and the video is removed very often, normally just days after it is uploaded. Some websites offers pay per view services where you pay a couple of dollars for a single match. I have tried that but soon give it up because it's too expensive in the long term.

Then one day, I saw my colleague getting excited in front of his computer and screaming in silence. As I walked closer, I saw an on going champions league quarter-finals soccer match between Arsenal and Liverpool. Wow, I must say I'm pretty amazed by the high quality video and not to mention that the match is Live and sound quality is good! We enjoyed the exciting match together while doing our work on computer.

My friend then told me that he only pays a small fee and he can enjoy live videos of most soccer matches like epl, champions leagues, uefa cup, world cup as well as euro 2008 games on his computer, without any hardware required. I went to download the software and within 10 minutes, I found myself watching my favourite soccer match and also able to watch over 3000 satellite channels including sports, news and entertainment. I was totally blown away.

What happens is that the software that I downloaded was developed after 7 years of research involving millions of dollars and is based on the latest peer to peer (P2P) video streaming technology. This means that the distribution of video streams is possible without a central server. This suits the internet environment and therefore whether you are in the States, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia or any other parts of the world, as long as you have an internet connection, you can watch Euro 2008 Live on your computer anywhere in the world.

Jesaiah is a die-hard football fan and have watch Soccer Matches Online using a special software with high quality streaming video. You can Watch Soccer Online by downloading the software.

Who Will Win Euro 2008?

Euro 2008 is due to kick off in a couple of days time and football fans are starting to debate about who they think will win the tournament. In this article I am going to give my prediction as to which team I believe will end up lifting the trophy, I hope you enjoy the read.

Firstly I would like to mention how disappointed I am that my home nation, England, is not playing in Euro 2008. The team only have themselves to blame as they really are becoming too big for their boots. They think and speak as if they are the best in the world; in truth some of them need a good kick up the backside. Watching England over the last few years has been a complete bore and not competing in Euro 2008 may just bring some of the players into the real world.

The bookmakers have Germany as the 4-1 favourites. The German team always seem to perform at the major football tournaments, much to my frustration. I sure hope they do not win Euro 2008 however would not be surprised if they did.

Italy will be in confident mood as they will be going into the tournament as reigning World Cup winners.

My big tip for Euro 2008 would have to be Spain; I have even had a £25 bet on them to win the tournament. Players like Torres, Alonso and Fabregas should prove too much for many of the competing countries.

I can not see beyond the three countries I have already mentioned. I really think the winner of Euro 2008 will come from either Spain, Germany or Italy and will be rooting for the Spanish.

Euro 2008 – fabulous football for fans of the game

Euro 2008 will soon be upon us but sadly none of the home nations will be represented at the competition taking place in Austria and Switzerland during June.

However, that is definitely not a reason to shun watching the European Championship Finals. Given the abundance of quality foreign international players currently plying their trade in the English Premier League, many of the players taking part in the Euro 2008 finals will be household names in the UK.

Indeed, France’s squad list reads like a veritable who’s who of current and former Premier League stars. Just their forwards’ list of eight includes five current and ex-Premier League giants; Chelsea’s Nicolas Anelka, Man United’s Louis Saha, two former Arsenal stars in Thierry Henry and Sylvain Wiltord, and finally Djibril Cisse, formerly of Liverpool.

The French midfield and defence is similarly packed with current and former Premier League talent, and given the strength of their experienced squad, barring any injury worries, ‘Les Bleus’ should provide good value for their fifth favourite status, and could even surprise many pundits, who have already dismissed their chances in this tournament.

However, the bookies’ overall favourites for the tournament are Germany with Italy, Spain, and Portugal trailing only slightly behind. Given that bookmakers are offering low odds for a total of five teams in this year’s 2008 European Championship finals means that even they believe the competition will be incredibly tight and that fact alone looks set to provide spectacular viewing even for the most impartial armchair fan.

Group C promises to throw up a series of nail-biters as it contains not only two of the top five favourites - Italy and France - but also includes Holland and Romania, neither of whom would be rated a pushover in anyone’s book.

Group D looks the next toughest group with Spain facing up to reigning European Championship holders Greece, as well as tough competition from previous winners Russia and Sweden.

Portugal look set to have an easy ride in Group A, competing against joint host Switzerland, improving nation Turkey and probably their biggest threat in the group, the Czech Republic.

The remaining joint host, Austria, will compete in Group B with tournament favourites Germany and the team responsible for dumping England out of the qualifying tournament, Croatia. Lastly, Poland - featuring Celtic's Artur Boruc - may just make it difficult for the other fancied sides in this group.

From the opening game in Basel on Saturday, June 7th between Switzerland and the Czech Republic to the final in Vienna on Sunday, June 29th the whole tournament promises a feast of football that anyone calling themselves a fan of the beautiful game cannot afford to miss.

Soccer Hobby

Soccer is one of the most popular sports, if not the most popular sport or hobby in the world. The soccer World Cup, which is the world soccer tournament that goes occurs every four years, gets more viewers than any other sporting event in the world. Soccer is such a big deal in some countries that it has caused political tensions between nations when their teams have played against each other in the World Cup. So why is soccer such a great hobby for everyone? For one thing, it does not require much equipment to play soccer, you just need a soccer ball to kick around and a couple friends, and some sort of goal that you can use to kick the ball into. The rules are rather simple and obvious, you just kick the soccer ball around and try to kick it into the other team’s goal to score, and you can’t touch the soccer ball with your hands.

Kicking a soccer ball around is something that can be addicting and you can spend hours and hours doing it without getting bored. You can do different tricks with your soccer ball, like dribbling and or seeing how many times you can kick the soccer ball without letting it hit the ground. You can practice tricks like the bicycle where you jump and kick it sideways or kick it in the air while falling onto your back. You can do that one trick where you roll the ball with one foot onto the back of your other leg and then use that other leg to kick it forward, from behind, over your head; that’s one of my favorites. It makes people think I am a good soccer player when I do that one, even though I am not.

One nice thing about soccer or a soccer hobby is that it definitely keeps you in shape with all of that running you have to do, and you have to be in pretty good shape to do well at soccer. Playing soccer is not like a light jog where you can just take it easy the whole time. You are at a full, dead sprint over and over. It’s fun too, so it doesn’t feel like you are just working out, you are playing a game instead. The last soccer team I played on was an indoor soccer team. I thought I was in shape, but then I could only last for a couple minutes before I had to take a breather, each time I went in.

One of my earliest memories of playing soccer was when I was on a little league soccer team as a kid. I was playing defense and all I did was kick the ball as hard as I could to the other end of the field every time it came to me. I also remember afterwards, I ate a piece of chocolate candy with the wrapper still on it. I didn’t swallow it, but it made me sick and had to quit dribbling my soccer ball on the way home from the soccer game, while I puked because the feeling in my mouth was so disgusting. I think my body was worked up from the sprinting in the soccer game as well and my stomach was tight. It still makes me sick to think about that experience all of these years later. But I sure had fun as a kid playing on my soccer team and had a lot of good experiences. I also still have a lot of good memories from my soccer days as a kid. It was fun being the center of attention as I kicked the ball around each time it came to me. I wasn’t that good though, and I played defense, so I usually just gave the soccer ball a nice boot to the other side of the field each time it came to me.

There are a lot of drills you can do with a soccer balls, just on your own to become a better soccer player. You can just practice dribbling, as mentioned above, where you just kick the soccer ball back and forth between your legs as you run. Once you get good at dribbling the soccer ball, you can show it off when you play games, but dribbling the soccer ball and cutting past people. Or, you can practice kicking and aiming the soccer ball at a certain point on a wall or practice kicking it into the goal or passing with the side of you foot, so you can get your aim better and score more goals when you play. You can dribble the soccer ball with your feet while weaving through cones. You can practice heading the soccer ball and aiming with your head. For some reason soccer player’s favorite thing to do is hit the soccer ball with their heads.

Musical Tarzan Tickets Are the Most Sought After

Every body knows Tarzan, the guy who swings along the branches of trees in the forest with the typical melodious shriek. Now, he’s back! This time, in the form of Broadway musical, “Tarzan.” It is based on the Disney movie under the same title and on the stories by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Phil Collins has rendered a terrific music for this show. He is the same person, who bagged a Grammy and an Oscar for his music in the movie version of Tarzan. His super hit melodies include “Two worlds” and “You’ll Be in My Heart.” This is his first Broadway musical, for which he has composed eight new songs. David Henry Hwang has written the book. The show is directed and designed by Bob Crowley. It has been choreographed by Meryl Tankard. The famous Aerial movement of Tarzan has been originated by Pinchon Paldinu. The lights and sounds are given by Natasha Katz and John Shivers, respectively.

“Tarzan” opened on Broadway on May 10, 2006, at the Richard Rodges Theatre. The show was such a hit that it bagged a nomination for Tony Award for the Best Lighting Design of a Musical. After a house full of 3 previews as well as 486 performances, the show closed in the theatre on July 8, 2007.

The star cast of this musical includes Josh Strickland in the role of Tarzan. Jenn Gambatese plays the role of Jane. Timothy Jerome is Professor Porter in the show. Merle Dandridge is Kala, Chester Gregory II is Terk, Shuler Hensley is Kerchak, and Donnie Keshwarz is Clayton. The character of Young Tarzan is played alternatively by Alex Rutherford and Daniel Manche.

In addition to the above actors, “Tarzan” also includes Darrin Baker, Celina Carvajal, Marcus Bellamy, Dwayne Clark, Kearran Giovanni, Veronica deSoyza, Michael Hollick, Kara Madrid, Joshua Kobak Kevin Massey, Rika Okamoto, Anastasia McCleskey, Marlyn Ortiz, John Oyzon, Whitney Ostenoski, Andy Pellick, Stefan Raulston, Angela Phillips, Horace V. Rogers, Nick Sanchez, Sean Samuels, Niki Scalera, J.D. Aubrey Smith, Natalie Silverlieb, and Rachel Stern.

“Tarzan” is the story of a baby, who is stranded in the African forest after his parents die. He is raised by gorillas. His friends are animals. He lives happily in the forest oblivious of the civilized world in the cities. The story takes a turn when Jane, a girl from the city enters the forest and discovers him. When Tarzan meets Jane, he discovers his real self that he is one of them and has human emotions. He gets attracted towards her. Then follows a series of exciting events.

“Tarzan” entertains the audience, right from the starting until the end. If you are looking for a thrilling story and pure fun, watch this show. No doubt, tickets are a difficult commodity to get. The best way is to dial ticketing service number or order your tickets online. Have a trip to the African forest with our swinging friend Tarzan and his newly acquired girlfriend Jane!

Famous Quotes by Lou Holtz During Football's Annual Bowl Season

College football's annual bowl season is full of surprises and spectacular moments. Famous coaches have had some memorable remarks about American's most popular sport, and here are some of them by Lou Holtz, who some consider to be the best of the best college coaches and for good reason.

It is true that Knute Rockne won 5 more national championships at Norte Dame than Lou Holtz did at Notre Dame (Holtz led the Fighting Irish to 1 national title in 1988).

It is also true that Knute Rockne has a regular season won-loss percentage of 90% (105-12-5) at Notre Dame, and that Lou Holtz has a regular season won-loss percentage of 77% (100-30-2) at Notre Dame.

However, Lou Holtz is the only coach in NCAA history to lead 6 different programs to bowl games (William & Mary, North Carolina State, Arkansas, Minnesota, Notre Dame and South Carolina), and the only coach to guide 4 different programs to final top 20 rankings (North Carolina State, South Carolina twice, Arkansas 5 times and Notre Dame 7 times).

Lou Holtz became known for his quick wit and ability to inspire players. Both Knute Rockne and Green Bay Packer coach Vince Lombardi became legendary for their ability to inspire players.

In addition to his coaching career, Holtz has gone on to author 5 books and become both a motivational speaker and television commentator.

Here are some of Lou Holtz's best known quotes:

"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to it."

"Motivation is simple. You eliminate those who are not motivated."

"The man who complains about the way the ball bounces is likely the one who dropped it."

"When all is said and done, more is said than done."

"It's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you carry it."

"No one has ever drowned in sweat."

"On this team, we're all united in a common goal: to keep my job."

"Show me someone who has done something worthwhile, and I'll show you someone who has overcome adversity."

"The problem with having a sense of humor is often (the) people you use it on aren't in a very good mood."

"In the successful organization, no detail is too small to escape close attention."

"It is a fine thing to have ability, but the ability to discover ability in others is the true test."

"If you're bored with life-you don't get up every morning with a burning desire to do things-you don't have enough goals."

"If you burn your neighbor's house down, it doesn't make your house look any better."

"You'll never get ahead of anyone as long as you try to get even with him."

"I think everyone should experience defeat at least once during their career. You learn a lot from it."

"I never learn anything talking. I only learn things when I ask questions."

"If he's got golf clubs in his truck or a camper in his driveway, I don't hire him."

"How you respond to the challenge in the second half will determine what you become after the game, whether you are a winner or a loser."

"Coaching is nothing more than eliminating mistakes before you get fired."

"A lifetime contract for a coach means if you're ahead in the third quarter and moving the ball, they can't fire you."

"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song."

"You're never as good as everyone tells you when you win, and you're never as bad as they say when you lose."
