The soccer in Chile is one of the most awaited sporting events. Chileans love the sport just like many other countries in the world. You can usually see children playing soccer in the street or in any place they can play. Chile is also home to some of the many large stadiums and great players and clubs.

Among the most favorite club is the Club de Fútbol Universidad de Chile or commonly called "La U". It was founded on May 24, 1927 and was organized by college students of the Universidad de Chile.

The Los de Abajo is the lawful group of fans of the club which has remained loyal to the club over the years.

The team has won some cups together with that in 1994 which they made an superior end which was witnessed by over 20,000 fans in El Salvador. In the following years from 1999 to 2000, the won again in match held in the National Stadium. In 2004, the club managed to win the Apertura.
